Haertling Foundation

Promoting an important architect of this century, Charles A. Haertling, groundwork has been laid for the Haerting Foundation.

The goal of this grassroots project is to celebrate the architect's accomplishments by preserving his work and documenting his contributions to the City of Boulder and to the world of architecture.

Basic plans include:

• Landmarking Haertling houses
• Publishing and distributing literature about Haertling, his teachings and work.
• Placing Haertling among other prominent architects in the context of 20th century architecture
• Promoting Boulder as Haertling's home and an environment for his buildings and designs.

Haertling Memorial Scholarship

Thanks to many generous donations, The Haertling Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1986 at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Due to Haertling's interest in design and music; students from the Colleges of Environmental Design and Music become eligible for the $600 annual scholarship on an alternating basis.
